What am I up to?
So, you're probably wondering why I've been posting about possums and not what I've been doing. Well, at the moment, I'm in the car on the way back from Indiana. My mom and I went with Rod back to his home in Greentown, IN for Thanksgiving. All you have to know about this trip is that I have eaten more in the past 5 days than I have the rest of the year combined. Rod's mom made some two dozen dishes, and make very sure we were fed every 3-5 hours. So, vacation is over, and I have to return to work in the morning.
So, I'm realizing that it's almost 2007, and I haven't accomplished very much this year.. well… as far as learning new things or getting things done I'd like. So, here is a list of things I hope to get done within the next few months.
- Crestron Certification: I attended the first class last February. I intended on completing certification in less than a year… because I know I could. They recommend it take you three years, but my work schedule just hasn't allowed me to get back up to Nyack, NY to finish.
- This site: I still haven't gotten this site to a point where I want it. The Joomla! upgrade was a good step, but that's where I left off. I need more content, and I need to post more often. I also think I am going to replace the template within the next few days.
- Flash and Flex: I've learned ActionScript 2.0 to a comfortable level. Although, I'd like to learn more. I haven't come up with a project to learn it for, but I do need to learn more. I also want to learn Adobe Flex. I know nothing about it right now, but I do know it's pretty powerful. We'll see.
- Drums: I've been playing more lately, but I haven't actually focused on improving in any particular area. Unpredictable schedules are to blame here.
Anyways, that's what I should be up to in the next couple months. And now… to finish this drive!
