My (Twitter) Status: @RodKim Heh, saw it too. Pretty wicked.

Hello Facebook

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

So, the news of the week is that Facebook is allowing open registration . So, hello everyone! The second part of this news is that my blog, located at www.muzicman82.net is automatically imported as Notes, via my RSS feed . This way, I don't need to cut and paste the same blog entries everywhere…

In other news, I was up all night editing a video for BEL.com's RotoPlasma . Yesterday morning, when I started, my two 250GB drives stopped showing up. It took me 8 hours to get them back up. Not sure what happened, but my data is all there, so that's good news!  Oh, and my desktop now has 3GB RAM, a new watercooling system, and some nice UV blue, red, and green sleeving. Maybe I'll put pictures somewhere.

The paint for my Jeep came in yesterday from Paint Scratch . It seems to be a pretty dead on match to me. I probably won't get to paint for a few days since it's supposed to rain.

Anyways, I'm sitting here with Rod and Adam at The Bob @ University of DE at a Procurement Expo. After this, I'm sleeping.

She Lives!

The news for today is that Rosie is breathing very nicely. I put the new radiator in, got enough parts back in to fill up the system with a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water, and she runs better than before! Now, I just need to find some body parts. Namely, a grill, bumper, and some plastic frame behind the grill. The AC works, so I'm not going to bother fixing it. The condenser is bent, but so what? Summer is about over, so I won't be using it very long… and if it breaks, then I'll fix it. I like that plan.

Your homework is to go watch Lucky Number Slevin . It's pretty darn good. Don't listen to the critics anymore.

Poor Rosie…

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

Well, Rosie is sick temporarily. The story:

I was working last Thursday… on Miller Rd in Wilmington, DE. The road is 4 lanes, two each direction with no median. There was a car in front of me at a traffic light, and we were both in the left lane. After it turned green, we both accelerated as normal. The car in front of me did a very quick jump to the right lane. At the instant he got out from in front of me, I realized he did that because the TWO cars in front of him both slammed on their brakes for an idiot turning into a gas station on the left. At this point, I too… slammed on my brakes, but unfortunately didn't have enough time or distance to stop before rear-ending the Toyota Camery in front of me. The Camery ended up rear-ending the Ford Malibu in front of him. The turning car, managed to get his turn without getting hit..

Fortunately, the other two drivers weren't particularly mad at me… They were mad at the car that suddenly braked to turn (with no turn signal). Unfortunately for me, the front of my car needs some work, and it needs a new radiator and AC condenser. The upshot is that the radiator was needing replaced anyway. The bumper was in bad shape already too… simply from being ten years old.

So, tonight, my mother and I hooked a come-along up to a tree and I was able to pull the metal back enough. So, my plans for the next week are to get Rosie running again. I need to find some body parts somewhere… That'll be fun.

In other news, last night, I came home… and immediately crashed… at 6:30 PM. I didn't wake up until this morning when it was time to go to work.

Oops!!

So, I totally forgot about the Last Update image that appears on my MySpace page. It was a plugin I wrote for Nucleus to generate an image to be displayed wherever… that included the date and time of my last blog post. Well, eventually… I'll rewrite the code for Joomla. For now, you'll just have to keep checking back. New site = more posts.

Hello World!

Monday, September 4th, 2006

Well, you're looking at muzicman82.net v3.

For you geeks, I switched from Nucleus CMS to Joomla. I like it muchly. This is my 3rd site engine change since I started muzicman82.com in 2004. I've even managed to keep every single post along the way.

I donated $$ for the comment system. It's awesome. That means, comment!!

More to come.

Movies Movies Movies!

Ok. well… I finally have a DVD Database again. I used to have one long ago. but then my hosting company disappeared. and I lost everything. This time. I’m using Collectorz.com’s Movie Collector… and I export. then import to MySQL to update. So. I’ll always have a local copy. Yay.

I still have lots to do to make it look pretty. but it’s up for your pleasure. Maybe I’ll add the ability for you (and me) to comment on the titles. Then you could also tell me what odd taste in movies I have. Should I?

DVD Database

Maybe I’ll do a Music Database as well… but your better bet for what I listen to is my Last.fm.

Bah!

Soo. after a very hot week… I did just about nothing all weekend. I saw My Super Ex-Girlfriend on Friday. That was pretty darn funny. I bought She’s The Man. and that was also very funny. I watched Mean Girls for the thousandth time… and… I don’t remember what else.

It’s almost 3 AM. and I should get some sleep. I hope it’s not as hot this week.

La La La

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Someone PLEASE tell me.. why the heck am I awake at 5:15 AM? I’m not even tired. I’m nocturnal I tell you… Maybe I just feel like being awake while it’s not 100° outside. Or maybe I napped earlier and have plenty of sleep for the next 12 hours (before my next nap). I’m rambling… I should go sleep. Goodnight Neverland.

It’s hot.

Yeah. it’s done… and it’s quite nice if I do say so myself. Nice job me.

Oh. and if you comment. you’ll have to prove you’re not a robot… Thanks to Captchas.

This week.

That sucks. Yeah.

Monday Monday

Today: Service call @ Uniqema. Service call @ Kid Shelleene’s. Haircut. Website work. Applebee’s.

Not too shabby of a Monday. My Jeep now has over 265.000 miles. She’s a champ!

I’m searching for inspiration for this website. In the process. I’m learning Adobe Illustrator… more so than I did before.
