More HD Goodness
I’m horrible. Since getting these HD drives, I feel it is necessary to buy my favorite movies and those that just look cool in HD. Call it “catch-up” if you will. I could pirate them from Netflix, but that would consume lots of disk space (though I currently have plenty), and it is illegal. I’m refraining from buying ones that have NO special features and those that will probably have a better release out in the future.
So, I got both Underworld movies. I don’t understand why they were viewed as such horrible films. I was entertained by them… they aren’t perfect, but there are a lot worse movies. I also read that Underworld 3 is in pre-production and that Kate Beckinsale will not be in it. It’s supposedly a prequel. If you’re unaware, she is producer/writer (and director of the first two) Len Wiseman’s wife.
Other must have titles included Aeon Flux, Superman Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (although I can’t watch this yet due to a needed, but unavailable PowerDVD Ultra update - Grrr!). I’ve ordered The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but it is currently on backorder from Best Buy. Oh well, Transformers comes out in two weeks!! Spider-Man Trilogy follows on October 30th! I need to go sell some crap to pay for all of this now.
Oh, and.. I also got The Jungle Book on DVD! Ok, I really have to go.. too many movies to watch, and no time to watch them!
