Hello world.

It’s been a while week. Tuesday, I was back down at the Bottle & Cork teching the Citizen Cope show. Our role was minor, which was nice. It actually got me more time to just watch and enjoy a show for a change. The show was sold out and packed. The hope is that they’ll do two dates next summer.

After recovering from that, I was back to some video editing madness. I must admit, I love the variety that comes with my job. It’s stressful, and it’s hell most of the time, but I cannot imagine having to do the same thing every day. I would probably hate life.

I’m ready for some time off. I need to do things other than work, eat, sleep, repeat. I’m considering a random trip to NYC next week. Other than that, I don’t think I’ll get to take some quality vacation time until September. If gas wasn’t so expensive, I’d just randomly drive somewhere and hide for a while.

Last night, Rod and I saw Wanted. What a wicked awesome movie! If you enjoy edge-of-your-seat action, this is a must see. The film’s got style. Today we saw WALL-E. It’s just brilliant. Pixar has perfected the formula for good family movies, and they execute it so effortlessly. There’s not much dialog, which makes it even more impressive.

Anyways, I’m currently watching “Year of the Dog” with Molly Shannon. I should get back to watching!

Oh, and Sleeping Beauty is going to be the first Disney classic on Blu-ray. I can’t wait!

For whatever reason, I hadn’t bought or watched Serenity until today. I got it from Netflix on HD-DVD since I couldn’t remember if it was one of the free discs I’ve been waiting on for months now. In any case, it’s probably the best original sci-fi movies I’ve seen in a long time. I only saw perhaps one episode of the predecessor TV series Firefly while it was on. I simply don’t have the attention span to watch a show on a weekly basis. I remember reading about the show being canceled and later remember the surprising 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I put it on my “to watch” list way back when. Anyways, if you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend you do so. Obviously, I’d say if you are Buffy or Angel fans, you’d like it.. but if you’re fans of those, you’ve probably already seen it. If you enjoyed Aeon Flux or Ultraviolet, this would be right up your alley. It’s probably a better movie than both of those combined. I might even be compelled to watch Firefly now…

I also found that yet another Quizno’s has closed. What in the world is happening? Also, as you can see from the photo, Rosie reached the 295,000 mile mark today. What else for today? Oh, I watched Sunshine with Dexter tonight. It’s a pretty good movie. It’s certainly beautiful to watch to the point of being incredibly captivating. I recommend it, especially on Blu-ray.
